Here's a lovely chance to bring someone in your life some cheer on these cold, sometimes dreary days. If you've ever been inside Catching Fireflies in downtown Berkley, you will not be surprised to learn that source of whimsy and happiness is the source of "Cupid Calls," an event where you nominate a loved one to receive a surprise box of goodies this Valentine's Day.
While the store cannot guarantee that your nominee will be chosen, you never know! Simply send an email to service@catchingfireflies.com with your nominee's full name, age and mailing address; a short paragraph explaining why the nominee needs a cupid call and a little about his/her personality and what he/she likes (bath & body, kitchen items, etc.), and include your full name and relationship to your nominee. Catching Fireflies will take it from there, selecting nominees and mailing them a surprise package with the simple note, "A bit of love wrapped up just for you to make your day brighter. xoxo ~ cupid."
They're hoping to get packages out by February 9, so send your nomination soon! This is a great chance to brighten the day of a loved one who is sick, an over-frazzled mom friend, a hardworking teacher...the list of reasons could go on. While you won't know if your nominee is selected {unless you start asking questions like, "SO have you received any mystery packages in the mail lately?." but that might spoil things a bit}, I found that I had a really good feeling just submitting my nomination. And it got me inspired to do some fun Valentines for loved ones (watch for the project in a future newsletter!) What could it inspire in you?
