By Kara Murphy September 28, 2022

Have a kid who loves dinosaurs? This is your week! Wednesday, Oct. 12 is Fossil Day, and to celebrate Jurassic Quest is hosting FREE virtual playdates that day.

But why stop there? We have details on the free playdate, plus our two favorite dinosaur-themed touring shows (don't miss our ways to SAVE!), and some at-home activities to help keep your favorite Kidosaurus entertained:

1. Tune in for a FREE Jurassic Quest Virtual Play Session

Join Jurassic Quest’s dinosaur trainers and loveable baby dinosaurs for a day of FREE virtual family fun on National Fossil Day! These live virtual play sessions will happen throughout the dino holiday.

Each virtual session will include 30 minutes of live family-friendly fun at no cost, such as dino storytime, dino show and tell, adorable dino baby appearances, and more, led by the Jurassic Quest dinosaur trainer team: Safari Sarah, Dino Dustin, Prehistoric Nick, and Park Ranger Marty. Kids are encouraged to come in costume, bring along their favorite dinos, and can even snuggle in for baby dino bedtime stories to close out the holiday!

Register now for a FREE virtual playdate on Wednesday, Oct. 12!

2. Take the kids to a Jurassic Quest show

If you're lucky enough to live in or near one of the towns Jurassic Quest is traveling to in the next few months, take the kids to see SKYSCRAPING DINOSAURS in person! Loved by millions, only Jurassic Quest can create family memories this BIG! You'll see animatronic dinosaurs created by paleontologists to be true to detail and size (there's even a 50-foot-long MEGALODON!), have a chance to ride dinosaurs, and meet baby dinosaurs! Kids LOVE this show.

Dino & Dragon Stroll also features the newest dinosaurs and dragons produced with advanced animatronic and sound technology that brings these amazing creatures to life. Creatures featuring moving heads, necks, tails, wings, eyes blinking, mouths that open and close, breathing movements, synchronized sounds, roars, and other amazing details that make them look real and alive! Visitors can have encounters with a T-Rex and Stegosaurus along with large, serpentine, winged, horned, and legendary fire-breathing dragons.

Kids will also enjoy extras like storytime, hands-on crafts, bounce house inflatables and dino rides.

We also love that the Dino & Dragon Stroll has a Sensory Friendly Session at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday in each city they visit. Dino & Dragon Stroll is certified as an Autism Friendly event by the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities.
